1st migration to Abyssinia

 When hazrat Mohammad ØµÙ„Ù‰ الله عليه وسلم started preach of Islam, People of Makkah reject his message by Allah almighty. When in start Some people embraced Islam, non Muslims became enemy. They started tyranny upon Muslim. This exploitation was started from the mid of 4rth year of Nabuwat. In start it was normal but it was increasing day by day. They made very difficult for Muslims to live in Makka. At last they thought to free themselves all this tyranny.

1st Migration to Abyssinia

Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him) knew that the king of Abyssinia, Usmaha, is moderate and fair king. There is no tyranny in Abyssinia. Hazrat Mohammadصلى الله عليه وسلم ordered Muslim of Makka to migrate to Abyssinia for the sake of their faith and religion. So according to planned programme first group migrated to Abyssinia on Rajab 5 Nabwi. This group was consist on 12 males and 4 females. Hazrat Usman was leader of this group.. They set off new destination in the dark night. It was secret because they wanted to hide this act from Quraysh. They went first to harbour of Red sea ( This harbour is located in the south west of Makkah, one hundred kilometre away on the shore of red sea. They had to be  start their journey by ship)

Fortunately there were two boats. This caravan of Muslims landed on the harbour “Sheba” From there it departed to  Aksum. When Muslims reached Abyssinia They felt relief.

When the news of Migration to Abyssinia heard Quraysh they send delegation to Najashi  king of Abyssinia and demanded him that, 

 “hand over us our criminals.”

Najashi called Muslims in his court and said to them, which is religion you have invented that is against idols and Christ. Hazrat Jahfer bin Tiyar stood up and made an effective speech before Najashi. He Recited some verses of surah Mariam. Hearing this Najashi began to crying and said, 

BY God Quran And the Gospel are from one light. NAJASHI SAID to delegation that i cant hand over them".

 Next day Najashi asked about   Jesus  then Hazrat Jahfer said, 

“ Jesus is a man, Prophet of Allah and Kalmah Tu Allah".

 then Najashi picked up a straw and said,

 “By God what you said, Jesus is not more than this straw".

 Najashi embraced Islam. After some years when he died hazrat Mohammad offered his funeral prayer.
