Opposition by the Quraysh and Reasons

This article is about opposition by the Quraysh, when Islam came there started opposition. Quraysh was big opponents of Islam and Hazrat Mohammad ØµÙ„Ù‰ الله عليه وسلم In this article you will gain knowledge about reasons of opposition by the Quraysh.

Quresh was proud and considered them perfect and the best. They refused hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) MESSAGE.

House of Allah

Speech on A Mountain by Hazrat Mohammad ØµÙ„Ù‰ الله عليه وسلم

One day, Hazrat Mohammad ØµÙ„Ù‰ الله عليه وسلم went to a nearby mountain and called all the people of Makka. When people were gathered, he asked them a question,

“ O Quraysh! If I told you that a troop is coming from the back side of this mountain, then would you believe it?

They all answered in one voice, yes, of course,

we have always found you truthful”.

Then he said, I say that if you do not believe, then  you will face divine punishment.( Sahi Bukhari, part 2 page 10)

Now hazrat Mohammad ØµÙ„Ù‰ الله عليه وسلم started to preach and conveyed the message of Allah to all one by one. He used to go  every street and every fair to preach. He forbade people from evil. He went in fares of Ukase and zeelmjaaz.

There are several reasons for opposition to Islam. Some are given below:

1; Quraysh had pride in their power, race, and they were proud  to be Arabic. They were proud of their forefathers and family background.    They used to feel disgraceful to accept Islamic qualities and Islamic brotherhood. They were busy in materialistic life.

2. They couldn’t understand this that a man came to teach them that Allah is one. He is super powerful. The concept of Allah Almighty, Anbiya, angels and  concept of akhira was totally new to them.

3. They were not agreed that we would be answerable for our deeds. There was no concept of reward and punishment for good deeds and sins. This reason was also for opposition.

4. A greater number of Quraysh were opponents of Banu Hashim. They thought it disrespect for them. They could not follow a man who was from their enemy tribe.

5. They worship idols and are satisfied with it. They couldn’t accept another religion.

6. They were addicted to unlawful relations,  gambling, killing, drinking and robbery. They couldn’t leave these things. Islam was a totally different religion. In Islam there was no concept of these bad deeds. These were sins and “Hadood Allah”. In the Quran Allah says,

These are Hadood Allah, don’t go near them ( never cross the limits)"

But unfortunately, they thought them pride.

So these are the reasons that they thought about erasing the name of Islam, and started opposing Rasoolallah.
