Moharram is an important month in the Islamic calendar. It has importance for various reasons. Due to 9th and 10th Moharram , its importance increases. It is also called “Ashura”. On this day, the Shia community mourn for the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (Razi Allah) and his family.

 Every month on the last dates, “Ruet Hilal Cometee” holds a meeting and sight moon. On moon sighting is decided whether to start next month or not.
