This article is about Death of the the Holy  Prophet, Hazrat Mohammad. In this article you will read about Hazrat Mohammad death, events and prayer of funeral.

Death of Prophet Mohammad

After returning from Hajja tulvidah, the Messenger of Allah used to spend most of his time in glorification and praise.
Holy Tomb of the Last Prophet

On 18 Safar 11 Hijra he visited Janna al-Baqiyyah, returned from there and fell ill, until he had the courage to walk. He went to the mosque and offered prayers himself. When the disease became more severe, he ordered Hazrat Abu Baker to offer prayers.
The condition of the disease was not the same, sometimes it would be severe and sometimes it would ease.

One day, when he got some rest, he took a bath and went to the mosque with the help of Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Abbas.
Hazrat Abu Bakr was leading the prayer when he heard you and started to move back, so you persuaded him with a gesture.
When the prayer was over, he gave a sermon in which he emphasized that the Jews and Christians were humiliated by God because when a religious leader dies, his grave is turned into a place of worship. You should not do such an act.I forbid you from it.
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Janaiz, Chapter Marz in Nabi).

Death

12 Rabi-ul-Awal 11 Hijri, Monday, June 8, 632, the time of the morning, your soul was reached in Al-Quds. The dead body was buried in Hazrat Aisha's room.

Time of death

His age was 63 years and 4 days according to the lunar calendar.

Reaction of companions on death

The words that came out of the tongues of Hazrat Fatima (daughter of hazrat Mohammad) and Hazrat Ayesha(beloved wife of hazrat Mohammad) were very painful. When the companions heard the news of his death, they were shocked and worried.
Hazrat Ummr could not believe that the Messenger of Allah had died. Hazrat Abu Bakr went to the house and saw the body of Hazrat Muhammad.
Kissed the forehead, then said, "My parents sacrifice to you."
"Allah will not cause two deaths in you".
Then he went to mosque and announced the death of the Hazrat Mohammad and read the sermon and said,

"He who worshiped Muhammad among your people has died, and he who worshiped Allah will not die while he is still alive".

Allah Himself said that Muhammad is a Messenger. Messengers had passed before him. If he dies or becomes a martyr, then will you turn your back on him?
Whoever does this, then he will not be able to harm Allah.

Funeral prayer

Hazrat Ali bathed the Messenger of Allah, and he was buried in three clothes (Sharh Muslim Nawi).
Your body was placed in the place where you died
First of all, his family members performed his funeral prayer, then the followers and then the Ansar.
There was no imam at this funeral.
The room was narrow so 10 people used to go inside, when they would come out after praying then 10 more would go in.
This process continued. That's why the burial took place only 32 hours after the death.

Why Is Islam the Fastest-Growing Religion in the World? Facts, Reasons, and Global Perspectives Meta Title: Why Is Islam the Fastest-Growing Religion in the World? | Facts and Reasons Meta Description: Discover why Islam is widely projected to be the fastest-growing major religion in the world. Explore demographic trends, conversions, family values, and the universal message of Islam through facts and balanced analysis. Why Is Islam the Fastest-Growing Religion in the World? Islam has become one of the most discussed religions in the modern world. Whether through news headlines, academic research, or social media conversations, many people ask the same question: Why is Islam the fastest-growing religion in the world? The answer is more complex than a single reason. Islam's growth is influenced by demographic trends, family structures, religious commitment, and personal conversions. At the same time, millions of Muslims believe that the universal message of Islam itself attracts people seeking purpose, discipline, and a direct relationship with God. This article explores the main reasons behind Islam's remarkable growth while presenting facts alongside the beliefs held by Muslims. 1. Population Growth Plays a Major Role One of the biggest reasons for the growth of Islam is demographics. Muslim populations tend to be younger than many other religious populations. In many countries, Muslim families have historically had higher birth rates than the global average. A younger population naturally leads to more births over time, contributing significantly to overall growth. Demographers consistently identify population structure and fertility as major drivers of Islam's increasing global share. 2. Islam Has a Universal Message Muslims believe Islam is a religion for all humanity, regardless of race, nationality, language, or social status. The Quran teaches that all human beings are equal before Allah and that the best among people are those who are most righteous. This message appeals to individuals looking for spiritual equality and a clear sense of purpose. Unlike religions closely associated with a particular ethnicity or nation, Islam presents itself as a universal faith open to everyone. 3. Many People Convert to Islam Every Year Although natural population growth is the largest factor, conversion also contributes to Islam's expansion. People embrace Islam for different reasons, including: A search for spiritual meaning Interest in Islamic teachings Personal relationships with Muslims Reading the Quran independently Appreciation of Islamic ethics and discipline Many converts describe Islam as offering clear beliefs about God, life, accountability, and the afterlife. 4. The Concept of One God Appeals to Many At the heart of Islam is Tawheed, the belief in one unique, all-powerful God. Many people find this concept simple, direct, and easy to understand. Islam teaches that every person can worship Allah directly without requiring intermediaries. This emphasis on a personal connection with God resonates with individuals from many different cultural backgrounds. 5. The Quran Continues to Inspire Readers Muslims believe the Quran is the literal word of Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Millions of people read the Quran every year, including many who are not Muslims. Readers often mention its consistency, moral guidance, and emphasis on justice, mercy, and personal responsibility as reasons they continue studying it. For believers, the Quran remains the central source of spiritual guidance and one of Islam's greatest strengths. 6. Islam Provides a Complete Way of Life Islam is not limited to acts of worship. It also offers guidance on: Family relationships Business ethics Charity Justice Education Personal character Financial responsibility Community service Many Muslims appreciate that Islamic teachings provide practical principles for everyday life rather than separating faith from daily actions. 7. Strong Family Values Support Community Growth Family occupies a central place in Islam. Marriage is encouraged, parents are honored, children are viewed as a trust from Allah, and caring for relatives is considered an act of worship. These strong family traditions help preserve religious identity across generations while strengthening local communities. 8. Islam Encourages Knowledge One of the first revealed words of the Quran is "Read." Throughout history, Muslim civilizations made significant contributions to mathematics, medicine, astronomy, architecture, philosophy, and literature. Today, many Muslims continue to emphasize education, lifelong learning, and intellectual development as important aspects of their faith. 9. Global Connectivity Has Increased Awareness The internet has made Islamic resources more accessible than ever before. People can now: Read translations of the Quran Watch educational lectures Join online discussions Ask questions anonymously Learn directly from scholars As information becomes easier to access, more people explore Islam independently instead of relying solely on stereotypes or media portrayals. 10. Muslims View Islam as a Religion of Hope Islam teaches that every person has the opportunity to repent, improve, and begin again. The concepts of Allah's mercy, forgiveness, justice, and compassion provide hope for people facing personal struggles. Many converts say this balance between accountability and mercy played an important role in their decision to embrace Islam. Common Misconceptions Some people mistakenly believe Islam is growing only because of birth rates or political factors. In reality, researchers point to multiple influences, including demographics, migration in some regions, and voluntary religious conversion. The relative importance of each factor varies by country. Likewise, Muslims attribute Islam's growth not only to demographics but also to what they believe is the truth and universal relevance of its message. Looking Toward the Future Many demographic studies project that Islam will continue to grow over the coming decades because of its relatively young population and higher average fertility rates in many regions. Future trends will also depend on changes in education, migration, economics, and family size, so projections are not guarantees. Regardless of population statistics, the lasting influence of Islam will continue to be shaped by the everyday lives, values, and contributions of Muslims around the world. Final Thoughts The growth of Islam cannot be explained by a single factor. Population trends, family structures, education, personal conversions, and the religion's universal teachings all contribute to its global presence. For Muslims, Islam's continued growth reflects the enduring appeal of its message: belief in one God, compassion toward others, justice, personal responsibility, and hope for humanity. For researchers, demographic patterns remain a major explanation for current and projected growth. Considering both perspectives provides a more complete understanding of why Islam continues to expand across the world.
