Forefather of Hazrat Mohammadصلى الله عليه وسلم , Hashim
Hashim was the effective and forceful son. He went to Palestine in time of drought, and brought flour from Palestine. He made “Surid” from loaves and they all ate a bellyful. So he was known as “Hashim”
Once he set out for trade. On the way, he saw a woman named Salma Najaria. He married her. After marriage, they went to Syria and passed away in Gaza (Palestine) and were also buried there. Later on, a son named Sheba from Salma, lived in Yasrab (old name of Madina) for 8 years. Then Hashim's brother, Mutallib, took him to Makkah.
Grand father of Hazrat Mohammadصلى الله عليه وسلم Abdul Mutallib
Because Abdul Mutallib was brought up under the care of his Uncle Mutallib, he was famous by the name of Abdul Mutallib. His surname was “Abu Harris” and Abu al Bat’ha. Abdul Mutallib was very handsome, heightened, intellectual and a thinker.. He worshiped the following deen e Ibrahimi. He spent the month of Ramadan in Jabal Al Hira for worship. He helped poor and needy people. He took care of everyone, even birds and animals. He hated drinking, marrying with intimate and burying daughters alive.
Great achievement of Abdul Mutallib, the discovery of Aab e Zamzam

Enough time passed and the map of the Well was removed from people’ s minds. Finally, hazrat Abdul Mutallib saw him digging a well and also saw its location in the dream.
It was a message and guidance from Allah. So hazrat Abdul Mutallib got up early in the morning and went to the well with his son, Harris, and a digger. There he started to dig up a marked place. After some time, he got the mark of Aab e Zamzam.
A vow to Allah the slaughtering of one son.
He made a promise to God if Allah blessed him with 10 sons, he would slaughter them near Kah’ba.
Fulfill his promise
When God blessed Abdul Mutallib's ten sons, they were brought up and they could defeat their enemies. It was time to fulfill his promise. The lottery was for Abdullah but Quresh stopped him... Hazrat Abdul Mutallib wanted to sacrifice Abdullah An Augur advised him,
"Make a lottery between a child and ten camels. If the lottery is for camels, sacrifice them and if it is for children, then add 10 more camels. Continue adding camels even your God will be pleased to you"
So they did that. Finally, the one hundred camel lottery was for camels. So they slaughtered.
Father of Hazrat Mohammadصلى الله عليه وسلم , Abdullah
Abdullah married the daughter of Wahb bin Abad Minaaf. At that time, he was 17 years old. After marriage, when he set out for trading he was ill. He said to his caravan,
“I will stay at my uncle's house”.
There he stayed because of illness. When Hazrat Abdul Mutallib heard this news, he sent his son Harris to Yasrib, but Abdullah had died before his arrival.
He was buried in Dar ul Nabgha.
